Hey friends, so the holidays are officially over, and it is time to prepare for the new year. Personally I tried to eat healthy and also work out this holiday, but in a way I still feel a little bit bloated, and I am sure it is because I had like some diary-based food (when I am lactose intolerant),now I am paying the price. I have decided to go on a quick detox, to get rid of toxic or unwanted substance in my body and to feel super light again. So I am going to be sharing some recipes , you can also try at home if you want to go on a detox.
1) Basic Detox Green Juice
-1/2 Green Apple
-2 cups Raw Spinach
-3 stalks of Celery
-1 fresh Ginger
Directions: Squeeze the lemon juice in the bottom of the glass. Put everything else in the juicer. Poor your detox juice on top of your lemon juice and drink right away. If you let it sit to long, you’ll lose a lot of the enzyme goodness.
2) Beet Apple and Blackberry Smoothie
Beet is a powerful cleanser of the blood, and highly nutritious. It’s full of folate, manganese potassium, iron and Vitamin C.
-1 small beet
-1/2 cup of blackberries
-1/2 inch fresh ginger
Directions: In a blender, put the washed and diced beet, to the beet, add apples, blackberries and ginger, add a little water and blend away.
3) The Ginger Zinger ( Natural Decongestant)
-1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
Directions: Put all ingredients in a blender (make sure they are washed and nicely diced) add ice-cubes last and blend away.
4) Apple and Cinnamon
Did you know that apples are one of the finest health promoters available and they can/ will flush your liver and kidneys of any nasties and keep your skin hydrated. Love it!!
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Directions: Put 2 ingredients in a blender, add half a cup of water and blend away, till it is super smooth.
5) Red Dawn
-2 leaf Cabbage (red)
– 3 Carrots
-5 large Strawberries
Directions: Process in the juicer, stir and drink immediately.
So friends, these are the five juices/smoothie I am going to take till December 30th,just to get rid of toxins and all the holiday food and also get my body prepared and healthy for 2016.
