Destination Dome: The Perfect Getaway

Hey guys welcome back to my blog, in my last post i spoke about the importance of escaping into the unknown and taking a break once in a while. I also told you guys that my staycation at The Dome came at a perfect time and i couldn’t be more excited and thankful. The Dome used to be the house of fun back then, but it closed down in 2011/2012 for renovations and upgrading. When it closed down, i was so sad because this was a place that made living in Abuja so much fun.

The goodnews is that The Dome is reopening and i was privileged   to be one of the first influencer to stay there along side my friend and fellow influencer Onyinye. The Dome is nothing like i have ever seen in Abuja city, and to me it is the perfect getaway spot. I love how everything and anything you need for a perfect  vacation can be found right in The Dome. The Dome is made up of The Francis Hotel (which is  a luxury boutique hotel, with state of the art facilities and the most beautiful views, the room is also sound proofed and with the most amazing bathroom i have ever seen), The Dome also has a well equipped gym, spa and salon, a swimming pool area with the most beautiful coconut trees and waterfall, a conference hall that can sit up to 150 persons, the Noni’s Pizza place ( they made the best pizza i have ever had : the shrimp pizza is out of this world), the Summit restaurant and bar area (which offers fine dining and some of the best cocktails in Abuja city) , the Twin’s cafe and bakery and the lounge area. You never have to leave The Dome to go get anything outside because they have got you covered with all you need. Customer service/hospitality is one key area i look at when i am on vacation, and i must say every staff at the Dome is amazing, kind and pays attention to details. They were so kind to me through out my stay, and they ensured that i was well taken care off.
I got breakfast early enough and sometimes had my breakfast by the pool area with my friend Onyinye, for lunch i mostly had salad,  pasta or pizza.  Did i mention that The Dome steak is the best i have ever had, i was very skeptical to try it at first as i know most steaks in Nigeria are always over cooked or tough. The dome steak which was sent to my room from the restaurant area, was well cooked and rested with the juice of the meat still intact.

This one of my favourite place to visit in abuja because its for everyone (the corporate/business man, family man etc). I also highly recommend The Dome for a family vacation, as it is very kid friendly. The Dome is an ideal place for your parties/ events, small weddings, bachelorette night, conferences, weekend getaway, vacation etc.

If you are coming into Abuja (Alone or with your family) i  recommend The Dome as your destination/holiday spot. I’m so excited to be going back to The Dome later today for The Influencer’s Hangout (i can wait to kick off my easter right). Overall The Dome has my heart now, and i can’t wait to bring to you more from the spa and salon section of The Dome.If you are looking for a percent place to spend your easter holiday (by yourself, with friends or family), i highly recommend The Dome.
