My Escape To Jamaica : Jerk Chicken,Corn Bread, Roti & More

Hey guys welcome back to Adohrspeaks. Its been an interesting adventure with food over here at AdohrSpeaks. If you have been reading my posts, you must have noticed that i have been reviewing loads of restaurants, food and cultures lately. Today’s post is focused on one of my favourite restaurant in the city. I came across Jerk shack restaurant (a Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant) through my friend and fellow blogger Onyinye. I have never been to Jamaica but i will love to visit soon. Jamaican is such a beautiful country with the most beautiful people and most amazing food. Being a food enthusiast and “amateur chef “, i have tried out several Jamaican recipes and i always love how they turn out. However nothing beats my over 10 visits to Jerk Shack restaurant. Located in Wuse 2 Abuja, jerk shack is the most authentic Jamaican and Caribbean restaurant in Nigeria, the entire vibe of the restaurant screams Jamaica and every visit to the restaurant feels like an escape to Jamaica. Through out my numerous visits i had the steamed rice, butter beans and oxtail sauce, jerk chicken, roti, jamaican style plantain, colombian coffee, island wings, beef patty and so much more. I love that the staff understands the food and the Jamaican culture, i also love that the restaurant also serves various forms of Jamaican beer and drinks.

If you are looking for a taste of Jamaican / Caribbean without leaving Nigeria or a Jamaican living in Nigeria (missing homemade food) ,then i highly recommend Jerk Shack restaurant.  Follow @jerk_shack on social media to book a reservation or for further enquires.

Have you ever had Jamaican food, if you have what was your first impression, comment below.
