Hey friends, welcome back to my blog. Today I want to share with you my updated skincare routine/tips and skincare products I am currently using and loving.
This current season can very dangerous to your skin, so you need to pay more attention to your skin this winter/harmattan season.
I am no skin expert or dermatologist, but my skin care routine works for me and keeps my skin fresh and nice. It may work for you too, but if you have a serious skin issue make sure you visit a dermatologist before using any product on your face/body.
Lets get to it
-Drink a lot of water: This is one of the best skin care advice ever, some people wonder why they have terrible and bad skin, break out often etc, it is because they do not consume enough water, drinking less water is denying your body of proper hydration and this can lead to bad skin. I use to hate water but when I started my healthy journey 2 years ago,i fell in love with water and my life and skin has never been the same since then. Currently I drink 8-12 glasses of water every day,i start my day with a bottle. I always have a bottle of water by my bed side every night,so I can easily drink it when I wake up. I add lemon, cucumber and mint to spice it up a little.
-Green tea: Green tea is the best thing ever, I can not go a day without this amazing tea. It has helped my skin and helped me through my healthy journey. I will advise you have 2-3 cups of green tea in a day for that glowing extra hydrated skin
-Cleanse & Moisturize : Wash your face morning and night with a good facial cleanser, I use the Cetaphil daily facial cleanser and moisturizer. I also use a simple facial wipes to take off my makeup. I use the Clinique dark spot corrector for the very little black spots I have on my face. Clean and moisturize your face every morning and at night before you go to bed. Never go to bed with makeup on.
Exfoliate-Exfoliating the skin will help you get rid of dry and dead skin, One of my favorite scrub currently is Asantee turmeric & ginger salt scrub. I exfoliate currently at least 4 times a day.
-Bath soap/Shower and essential oil: For me personally I can not have my bath without either essential oil (I always add drops of essential oil to my bath water or in the tub) or bath bombs. I am currently using Yardley Bar soap, this soap is vegan friendly. It is natural and also cruelty free, for night time I use my lavender&vanilla body wash which is also vegan friendly.
I also use tea tree essential oil when I notice a pimple on my face. It helps reduce the inflammation.
I am also loving the my newly purchased Mellon Humra Parfum, it smells divine and last so long. I got the yellow Humra.
(I will do a review on Mellon and all their products soon)
I hope you find these tips helpful, and if you try any of them out, please let me know how it works for you.
